How to scan a file with Norton Insight from command prompt?

I use a download manager and would like to scan the downloaded file with Norton Insight. I can enter a command that the downloadmanager executes when the file is downloaded.

Does somebody know how to scan a file with Norton Insight from command prompt?

Scanning for viruses is no problem, I only need to know how to scan with Norton Insight.

Kind regards,

Koen

Just open Windows Explorer right click on the file and choose Norton Internet Security then Norton Insight. Why do it from the command prompt?

If I can do it from the command prompt, I can configure my download manager to initate a scan when the download is complete without my interaction.

Is this internet download manager by chance?

No, I use Free Download Manager.

Hi Koen,

Take a look at message 4 of this thread.  The thread refers to NIS 2009 but the commands appear to be the same for NIS 2010. Just change the "version" portion of the path to reflect the version of NIS you have installed.
