How to stop annoying pop-ups in N360

It seems Norton takes as much notice of users forum requests to stop the pop-ups that happen all to frequently in N360 as they do to the response "don't show again", this must be about the sixth thread on the topic requesting a solution that works (no doubt this thread too will be closed without any solution forthcoming).

Does nobody at Norton know the story of the shepherd boy who cried wolf?  Apart from being annoying the constant pop-ups de-sensitize so that if an important notification needs to appear, like your PC is infected with Covid or somesuch, or has been hacked, it will be ignored.

Maybe one reminder that I've not installed all the options for my browser would be useful, but if Norton can't understand by the third time in a day that I've not installed them because I don't want them installed for a reason then it's time to look for another anti-virus suite.

Thank you for your reply.  Yes, these are two of them, others include the reminders to run smart scan, n-thousand errors are affecting performance etc etc.

The simple answer is to ditch Norton in favour of ???  I need something that will include things like scanning downloaded documents and email attachments (from people who are known to me, including their IT skills or lack of), malicious site blocking (for web purchases).  Looking through various online reviews I've yet to find one that looks entirely comprehensive and trustworthy.  It may just be a case of better the devil you know!

Forum threads are automatically closed by the forum software when there are no new posts after 30 days. It has nothing to do with whether or not there was a solution to an issue.

The problem with these popups is that the marketing department now seems to be running the show. And unfortunately, Norton Management does not seem to care these constant nags are driving away their previously loyal customers.

The only true solution to this issue.
