How to sync backup changes from my norton page to norton product

I am making changes to reduce backup options and save storage. Doing this through My Norton page. Changes not saving to backup set when I got to Norton.com.  Help!

If you are making changes to your backup set in your 360 product, the changes take effect on the next backup that is run from that computer. These changes will not delete items already backed up in the online storage. This is because Norton has no way of knowing if any file that might be deleted from your computer was deleted by accident or on purpose. That is the main purpose of a backup.

If you want to remove files and folders from your online storage, using a Windows admin account, open Windows Explorer. Click on This PC in the left pane, and then double click on Norton Backup Drive in the right pane. Be patient as it will take some time to gather the information from the online storage. Once the folders and files are listed, you can choose the files and folders you wish to remove and right click on them and then click on Delete. That will remove the files from your online storage. This can take some time to do depending on how many files you have.
