How to tell if my NIS is a legitimate software and not a hacked version

From the Norton Protection Center, hit the Norton Internet Security button and look towards the top for the Subscription notice. How many days left are there?  Click on it and see if it brings you to the Symantec renewal center. Another thing, did you register your product through setting up your own Norton account?  If you did and Symantec accepted your activation number, then I would think you are in fact legit. Enjoy…

Thank you for the quick response. When I clicked on the days left, it did take me to the renewal center and I did register this product through setting up my own Norton account. I now feel better using this product.  Thanks again.
