Norton Power Eraser is constantly flagging games programs that are not actually harmful. Norton insight gives them a good rating.
I don't initiate power eraser scans, but once in a while a window pops up asking to run Power Eraser.
I excluded these applications from anti virus scan settings (settings>Scans and Risks>Items Excluded from Scans) but power Eraser still constantly pops up and asks me to run it, showing the same applications as risks, even after i told notion to exclude them.
how do I tell power Eraser to stop bugging me about these files? and only alarm me about other files?
Is Norton suggesting NPE because of suspicious outbound traffic? Can you please supply the wording of the alert? There may be a checkbox to opt out of future NPE prompts for whatever signature it is currently alerting to.
First, I would ensure these files are not harmful. You can submit the files to www.virustotal.com
If there are no detections there, you could report the files to Norton as possible false positives. You can report false positive indications here https://submit.symantec.com/false_positive/
Norton insight looks for different things than the Auto Protect features. It could be some behavior that seems malware like that is triggering the NPE message.
How long have you had these files/games installed? Have any been recently updated? Where did you download them from?
