How can I turn off Norton Safe Search - it just takes over unnecessarily

WHY IS THIS HAPPENING TO US
Check your browsers Settings and look for Search engines. Safe Web may have been set as the default for the browser. Change that setting to the search engine you wish to use.
I have followed instructions again and again and Safe Search will not go away.

Open your browser and then go to manage extensions in your settings. Turn off Norton Safe Search or just remove it.
