How to Unbock a .exe file

When using MIT App Inventor 2 I get the message Unauthorised Access Blocked when the program tries to run

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONHOST.EXE

and that the target is C:\ProgramFiles(x86)\Norton360\Engine\20.4.0.40\cltlmh.exe

Hi,

Never allow anything to change the Norton files. If it must change any to operate I STRONGLY recommend that you find a different program to accomplish the same task.

You might also contact the developer to see why the access is necessary and let them know that your Norton program won't allow it.

It might also be possible to uninstall your Norton program, run the program then reinstall Norton - this is NOT a recommended solution.

Keep us posted

Hi stephen48,

Are you getting a message, or are you seeing a log entry under Norton HIstory, Norton Product Tamper Protection?  This sounds like a Tamper Protection event where Norton is simply blocking CONHOST.EXE (a Windows process) from accessing a Norton file or process.  The CONHOST entry is pretty common.  These blocks are normal and nothing to be concerned about, unless they are preventing your program from running properly.
