How to UNINSTALL Norton Online Family from a Mac

Hi,

 

Could a kind soul explain how to uninstall it form an apple computer?  I have a iMac with Mac OS X v. 10.6.8 with Safari v. 5.1.7.

I have the same problem: Norton prompting to upgrade and at the end can not install it successfully.

Symantec has made a nice script to properly uninstall their SW products on Mac: you can get it here, along with instructions.

I just tried to upgrade again, and it is right now (while I am wrting this) in the "Running package scripts..." phase.

"Install time remaining: About a minute"  The blue indicator is almost at the end, but it has not advanced in the last 30+ minutes.

Should I keep waiting?  I clicked "option-command-esc", but it does not show the "Installer" as "not responding."

 

On 12/12 I sent you a private message explaning my situation with screenshots of all the error messages.  But now, the problem is that is frozen at that phase.

 

Attached is a screenshot of the frozen window.

 

What should I do?
