I have a virus that won't allow me to boot up. I can't start in Safe Mode either. I downloaded the NBRT on a clean computer with a good CD burner, but it won't burn the tool onto the CD so I can use it on the infected computer. The utility checks for updates, does the next steps, but when it gets to "Burning", it stops and says Failed. I can't boot from a USB source because my computer is too old or it's because it's a laptop(?), I'm not sure. "What am I doing wrong" I said to myself, so I went and put the "failed" CD into the infected computer. It took a long time, and then came up "Windows failed to start, use installation CD and restart, or choose another option", so I re-started with my installation disc. After a half an hour, it told me NIL...something (sorry) failed to start or load. Now I'm back to square one, and dead in the water. Any suggestions, or is my computer done-for?
