Since renewing subscription and install of Norton 360 v 5.0 my HP Photosmart 7350 printer will not work. I have uninstalled and reinstalled printer. Printer sounds and acts like it is getting ready to print, but sends out blank page. This happens when trying to print test page, from word, from notepad, etc. Any suggestions? I'm not really 'techie' so be patient with me! Thanks!
Hi Drammaw,
What you can do is open the norton program from the icon you see on the main screen of your computer and the click on "Settings" at the top and then click on "My Network".. After this you will get "Trust control" as the first option and you will have "Configure" button on the right.. Click on configure and follow the instructions.. You will get a page network security map where you will see you priter (if already attached to your computer and if not then attach it).. Click on the printer name and give full trust to it and then save and close..

Try this step and check if it works and if not then reply and we will see what can be done next..
This may just be my problem. There is no IP address for the printer - the field is empty. So... how do I find this number? The printer is connected thru USB to my computer. In control panel, printer shows to be default printer and status is 'ready' but location field is empty.
I appreciate your patience...
Hi,
Instead try the steps that I have mentioned earlier through the Norton program and you will be able to add it to Trust control..
Thanks.
Hi, Drammaw,
Welcome to our community!
Unfortunately, based on your latest reply, what you are experiencing is not connected to your Norton product; its appearance around the time you renewed and upgraded is just a coincidence. If your printer was a network printer, then 113666's solution might have been your issue...but if it's a USB printer (as you've just indicated), there's nothing in Norton 360 that could be causing the problem, as the firewall only attends to IP-based devices (which, as you also discovered, a USB printer is not).
Sorry we couldn't be of more help. You might continue to check back here for a few days, to see if one of our many members--who tend to be pretty sophisticated computer users who also know a lot about computing issues outside Norton too!) has any ideas about what might be causing this.
