NIS 2010 is blocking my download of one file from mediafire.com with a message that this site or download is associated with HTTP Malicious Toolkit Variant Activity 2. The download url is hxxp:// www. mediafire. com/?npic7d57v9rfsy5. I informed mediafire of this problem and this is the reply:
Hello,Thank you for contacting MediaFire. I was able to successfully download this file. I use McAfee as my anti-virus software and it scanned it and found it completely safe. I believe that this is a false positive coming from your anti-virus software. Have you allowed MediaFire as a download site in your anti-virus software?

Both of my computers running NIS 2010 gave me the same problem, however a friend with NIS 2010 on his computer[Win Xp] can download the file with no problem at all. One of my computers has Vista Sp2 and the other Win Xp Sp3.Shutting off the smart firewall and intrusion protection or autoprotect has no effect. I can access and download other files on mediafire.com but not this one file.
I know this problem was brought to the forum's attention fairly recently by someone else but no resolution was discussed or found. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.
