I am trying to upload a file that is 2.5 GB in size to a friend for a job we are both working on. For a long time I have uploaded huge files this way, but yesterday I got a "HTTP negative content length" message. Every time I try the upload it is blocked and the computer I use is tagged as the attacking computer. I tried turning off Norton, but that does not work. I was so fustrated that I even considered uninstalling Norton from my computer. I have used it since the late 90's and every year my fustration just grows.
I am using Norton Anti-virus 2007. Why? Because I like total control of my computer and any program that I install that tries to overide me or figures it knows what is best is gone. Norton survived another year because I forgot and it was automatically renewed. I probably will renew it again but I am not happy with the way it stops me from working.
I would be very grateful if anyone could help me on the "HTTP content negative content" issue. Short of me uninstalling Norton. I could split the file but the bulk of the file is in one folder and splitting it up and asking him to assemble it again could be truly a mess.
Thanks.
