HTTPS Everywhere add-in in firefox disabled the Norton site safety icons

I discovered that  after I installed the HTTPS Everywhere add-in for Firefox, the Norton site safety icons disappeared from Google.  When I disabled the add-in, the icons re-appeared.

 

Has this happened to others?  Is there a workaround, short of permanently disabling the add-in?
