Huge Problem

Message moved to Norton 360 board for better exposure

I went back in safe mode and go into my norton 360 files and run Arestore and it seemed to be working fine and all of sudden my computer shuts off. Im at a loss on what to do, I love my laptop it is very expspensive and has everything important of mine on it.

Is it possible to download and install Malwarebytes from the link below ?

http://www.malwarebytes.org/

if you can't go on-line, perhaps use another pc and put it on a CD.

Download the Free version, in (Blue)

After you install it, do an update, if possible, then do a Full Scan.

If you have any malware on you pc it should pick it up.

Save a copy of any findings.

Thank you but I dont think that will work as it only lets me on for less then like 5 minutes then it crashes :frowning:

Just a thought.

I don't know if you want to try this.

Can you get in long enough to Select  Start  --  Run  --  (type in    msconfig    and click OK)

When the window comes up, select  'Diagnostic Start Up'

Restart, and see if your PC stays on.

(If not, your problem could be in booting up).

It may ask you to go into Safe Mode --  Administrator to do this.

You will have to change it back to Normal Start Up  later.

You may be able to load Malware bytes from a cd then

Hi Anthony

If you can't get the file from the site that boneidle gave you, then try this site instead.

Download the free version, install and update then run a FULL scan. After the scan completes you should post the logs back to this thread.

You can find Malwarebytes here

http://www.filehippo.com/download_malwarebytes_anti_malware/

It is a safer location to get the program from than malwarebytes themselves because the malware writers some times block the security programs' websites.
