There is a specific Forum for Norton Mobile Security so I'll ask for your message to be moved over there or better exposure. You won't lose sight of it because a link will be left here.

Hell cj_cheema.

Welcome to the Community.

Norton Mobile Security (NMS) or Norton Antivirus & Security as it is called on "Google Play" is a specially designed package for mobile devices.  It is not designed as a portal to Norton Anti Virus.

Android devices such as mobile phones operate in a different way from the traditional PC and so need different software to protect them.  NMS is available in two varieties, the free application known as Lite which is available from Google Play, and a fully featured paid version available from Google Play and various retail outlets.  Both versions guard against malicious software that might cause problems on your phone but do not operate in the same way that you may be used to seeing your desktop software working.  Should you download an application then NMS will scan it as it installed and report if there are any anticipated problems thus giving you a chance to uninstal the software before it can do anything.  It also does an periodic scan of the whole device.

NMS also provides protection for web browsing but at the moment this only works if you use the default android browser on your phone, it does not work with any alternatives at the moment.

The paid version of NMS also gives a range of features which will help if your phone is lost or stolen - look at the Anti-Theft part of the initial screen.

I hope the above helps.   If you have any further questions please feel free to come back and we will do our best to help.
