I am running Norton 2.1.1 (5) on my Mac. Getting TONS of ARP Cache Poisoning messages. Help!

Getting about 4,000 “ARP Cache Poisoning” messages from Norton daily. I have noticed a degradation in response time. Is this due to the message volume? If so, what can I do? Thanks
