I have just installed NIS 09 and Norton Utilities onto a Panasonic Toughbook. I cannot logon onto the network unless the tablet has been shut down long enough to flush the RAM. When the tablet has to reboot after any program or update installation, it won't until I shut it down for a couple of minutes. If the tablet is in Standby or Hibernate when it is docked, I can start it up and it will joint the network. To add to this, if I take the tablet off the docking station when it does a reboot, I still cannot logon locally.
This tablet was built up by me with all new legal programs. It worked properly until I loaded Norton products. All other laptops and tablets that are part of the network do not have this problem. They do not use any Symantec products. The server uses Symantec network Antivirus.
Does anyone have any ideas of what is going on and why the handshake does not work locally or remotely?
