Open you N.I.S. 2008 > N.I.S. tab > Settings > N.I.S. Options > From the sub-headings on the left, Select “Firewall”.

All I have is Norton Antivirus and Norton Protection Center.. no Norton Internet security.. That is the odd thing it was there before. Any ideas?

Thank you again

Carrie

Have you Posted this in the Norton AntiVirus Forum?

What is the Status - Secure, Attention or At Risk - of the In-bound Firewall on the Norton Protection Center?

Sorry didn't mean to post it in the other area..

Anyway.. It says secure.  I need to configure it to accept a site that won't let me connect.

Hi CarrieNH, we'll need more information on the products you have installed on your system. What are the names and versions of these products? If you have Norton AntiVirus, there is just the Internet Worm Protection inbound firewall; is that what you wish to disable? You can do this from the Norton AntiVirus 2008 product page, though I don't encourage this.

Why do you need to disable it? Please include as many details about the problem as possible. Thanks!

I am having the same problems as Carrie. I have "Norton Antivirus 2008 with Antispyware". I am trying to access spongefish.com and getting a proxy error:

Proxy Error

The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server.
The proxy server could not handle the request POST /login.

Reason: Error reading from remote server

I was told the way to resolve this issue is by turning off my Norton firewall.

How do I allow spongefish.com to be viewable without uninstalling Norton?

Thanks,

Jenn
