I don't want trouble accessing my bank with my Norton Secure VPN

If I download the VPN feature with Norton 360, I am not certain that my bank will support it.  I don't want trouble accessing my bank.

My Wifi at home is secure.  Does VPN buy me any function?  Any comments?

Here is how the bank responded to my query:

"Thank you for contacting xBank. We do not have any specific instructions to use a VPN with the xBank website. However, we have seen certain instances where use of a VPN may cause certain login attempts to be blocked. If this were to occur, please contact a representative at the number listed below so that we may have the block removed.

For further assistance, please contact an Online Banking Representative at (800) xxx-xxxx, option 3 with further questions or concerns."

Thanks.

[Edit: Calrified the subject]

If you have secured your home network with a strong Wifi password, you do not need the VPN on that network for any added security.

Many web sites do not allow access from known VPN IP addresses. They do this for copyright, legal, and political reasons. There is nothing a VPN provider can or should do to circumvent these legal protections. The bank's comments on using a VPN follow this information when they say "we have seen certain instances where use of a VPN may cause certain login attempts to be blocked."
