I have a fix window which doesn't allow me to start. it just sits there on my screen and i cando nothing else

When I opened Norton today I wanted to open Liveupdate but got a screen which said "You are protected Fix Now."  What can i do to do what it tells me?   When I click on fix now nothing happens.
