I keep getting an attack from a virus

I keep getting an attack from http tidserv request 1 and https tidserv request 2 every time i get online and turn on the computer it gets blocked but still do you have any idea how to get it to stop does changing my ip address help and i have norton 360 premier edition

It sounds likely that you have a rootki on your machine that is attempting to access the internet.  Have you used any programs to try to get rid of the infection?  Is there anthing in History>unresolved threats.  You can see this post for information.

i am gonna try this and it says it is attacking my harddisk and it seemed to start when we lost norton for a few seconds while online and maybe while i had norton because i looked it up and it says this virus makes you go to other webs than the one you want. This happened for a while while i had norton 360

there is no unresolved but it does say this This attack was resulted from \DEVICE\HARDDISKVOLUME2\PROGRAM FILES\INTERNET EXPLORER\IEXPLORER.EXE.

Let us know if the first link given by Quads finds anything.  That will provide more information.

ok and the quads?

I' not sure I understand the question.  The post that I linked you to was posted by "Quads."  That is his user name.  He specializes in malware and its removal.  He is not online at the moment.

ok ill try tommorow can a rootkit or a tidserv really damage my system even if it got through

It downloads other malware, and makes your system extremely insecure.  Once you get cleaned up, you should change all passwords, and banking passwords, especially for any online financial dealings.  It would be best to disconnect from the net or turn the machine off when not in use to repair it.

Tidserv will infect a system driver, so removal has to be done carefully.  If those links do not get the job done, we will give to links to free malware removal forums.

I am Quads :smileyvery-happy:
