I moved out of Japan, and I need to upgrade Norton Internet Security

Hi! I studied in Japan for seven years, now I am back to my country, Panama. My laptop is a Lenovo X61s with OS in full Japanese (Windows XP Professional, Version 2002, Service Pack 3, 32 bit), so the Norton Internet Security installed there is also in Japanese. I cannot buy a key to buy another year's service from the Japanese Symantec site, because I do not reside in Japan anymore (it's required to provide a Japanese telephone number and such). My questions are:

1) Can I buy a key in the US Symantec site and use it on my Japanese Norton, would it work?

2) If the answer is no, what can I do? I previously checked Norton support, and I received an automatic answer titled, "My Norton product appears to be in a different language after I install the latest version from Norton Update Center". The thing is, my computer tries to get everything in Japanese, from Japan, whenever she can. Should I unistall Norton and try reinstalling it in English? I am suspecting I would have to buy it allover again, instead of getting an upgrade, but I do HOPE that is not the case.

3) Would Norton in English or Spanish work on a Japanese OS computer?

Thank you! I am waiting for your reply.
