I may be a bit understanding of Norton deciding to not make the Norton Password Vault publicly available as a stand alone application. But as a very-long-term Norton subscriber, I am extremely saddened and disappointed that the decision was made to include licensed Norton Subscibers in that decision. Here is why. I have a 3-seat license for Norton 360, so I have the Vault on my PC, my wife's PC and my cell phone (which I use for both personal and business). For several years now I have been using the Vault on my company laptop as well, since about half of my 50 or so passwords are business-related and many of my online memberships are used for both personal development and business-related development. I am a firm believer in not using the same password or even the same password pattern, so having easy-to-manage password management software is critical to me - for both personal and work. Sadly, I cannot put Norton 360 on my laptop since the Corp only allows McAfee - and now I am completely exposed since my Norton chat-person could only give me the advise to print out my passwords - defeating the whole purpose of password management!
So I ask, please, tell me that there a reasonable solution for me to get a local-based Password Vault back on my machine without the main Norton application. Otherwise, I will need to replace all of my Password Vaults with another product.
