OK, I have noticed that your friend has done things including with advanced programs so it is up to him / her to fix the system as things have changed so much by the looks including the fact Norton may have a problem
He / she want to load programs like these up and still have objects left behind but also not stating what was removed by these programs then they can complete the job including leftovers.

Ohh dear, I don't think they will be able to do anything. Is there anyway you can help me further? I know that there was no viruses or anything else found and not tons of items removed.
Ohh and I think Norton may be causing the crashes as when I click on the performance bar that's when the crash mainly occurs
Who really knows it is up to the person who ran the advanced tools to work it out.
Loading programs and running the tools can hurt Windows and other programs. As it is your system has changed a fair bit I would say from the start.

The likes of Combofix gives a warning about it's use
"Please note that running this program without supervision can cause your computer to not operate correctly. Therefore only run this program at the request of an experienced helper."
