ID Safe app will not accept password in iphone 6

Hello...

The Norton ID Safe app on my iphone 6 will not accept my password.

iOS 11.0.2

It was working absolutely fine...then this happened.

It keeps asking for the security robot check, passes..."I am not a robot"

Then I enter my email and password and then recycles back to the beginning, does not say incorrect password or email.

Uninstalled the app, reinstalled the app, still not taking password.

Rebooted phone...still not.

It does work on my Windows 7 PC.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

Thanks for letting us know.

Okayyyy...solved.

Duh.

The app was asking for me to sign into my ACCOUNT, not my VAULT. No wonder it would not take the password.

After signing into the account it next went to the vault.

Hello...

Well I was afraid of this.

I did "leverage" the forgot password" option, on my iphone, reset my password, and now I have two separate passwords.

The app on the phone still does not work in that it keeps testing me a verification number and goes again and again.

I got an email saying that I reset my password, however it did not change on the PC...the old password still works.

I have no clue.

I did back up my passwords.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks...I will try that.

Will let you know how I do.

Thank you for your question. The answers helped me so much!

Hello jackbb

I recommend that you export your vault using the Norton Security client on PC and then go ahead with changing your Norton Account password. This way your vault data remains intact.

Hello....

I am using my correct email and have not forgotten my password.

I would do that... can you tell me what to expect. Will I need to create a new password?

I am afraid to do this because I use Norton Vault mostly on my PC... I don't want to make things worse, in that my PC will not accept my password. If I somehow get locked out I am dead in the water.

Thanks

Hello jackbb,

From what you've mentioned, it appears that you are having a problem logging into your Norton Account. You can leverage the "forgot password" option on the Norton Account sign in page if you have forgotten the password and you are sure that the email address you've entered is indeed the right one.

As I said above, there have been some other issues with Norton apps on IOS 11. I do not have a device that can be updated to IOS 11, so I'll have to wait for a reply from my contacts. I'll let you know when I hear anything.

Yes..I can't be 100% certain but it does seem to be the case.

You say it has worked in the past. Did you recently update to IOS 11? If so, did the problems start after that update. There have been a couple of other issues with Norton products on IOS 11.
