Identity Safe Broken - Firefox 3.6

I really appreciate Idendity Safe but it's broken with the latest Firefox release.

Doesn't Symantec have the ressources to stay in touch with Mozilla to get notified before a new Firefox version is released. So that it doesn't break customers browser logins? To be honest, it is quite annoying... I have to reinstall an older version of the browser now.... that's the only way to access my logins.

I agree. I mean Firefox has only been working on this for months and one would think that the second (if not #1) browser in the world would be paid attention to, so that we wouldn't have to wait until it's out before Norton starts working on compatability. Come On guys What's up. When can we expect to bew able to use our Norton product that we paid for??/ I too use thias norton feature often and it has saved my A** several times.

hey guys (or girls lol)-

have you ran liveupdate to make sure that your using 17.5? if not run liveupdate and get it. it might get your toolbar back up and running as some people who already have the 17.5 patch  said the toolbar is work (IPS doesnt work yet, but their working on it)

17.5 update - http://community.norton.com/t5/Norton-Internet-Security-Norton/Norton-Internet-Security-2010-Norton-AntiVirus-2010-NEW-UPDATE/td-p/192123

also mozzilla releases to everyone at the same time so you if you wanted to have it work right away then they would first release to the computer software makers first and you woudnt have it right now. i like having it right now even if it means all the plug ins have to catch up first.

As of now for me with Firefox 3.6 and NIS 17.5.0.127:  looks like everything I can see works except for IPS 2.0.  Toolbar is working, Identity Safe is working.

How about anything for Norton 360 ver. 3.5.2.11 ???? I have run Live update

youll probably find out more info on the n360 board http://community.norton.com/t5/Norton-360/Norton-Toolbar-and-IPS-for-Firefox-3-6/td-p/195788

this one here is for nis which looks like theyre producing different results.

thanx

It seems 17.5 isn't localized for german versions yet.

Hey Guys and Gals,

I was going to update to Firefox version 3.6 HOWEVER I see Norton IPS 2.0 is compatible with the new version of Firefox. So where or when can I expect to see a patch / new version of IPS 2.0 for Firefox?

I, too, am wondering this -- and also wondering how it will work.  Will we have to notice when Norton releases a patch and then manually try again to load the add-on in Firefox?

Same procedure as usual - in 2-3 months :)

Since 17.5 is still not localized for german version I was forced to reinstall NIS to english version.

I really appreciate Symantecs work on various products during the last years but this is not acceptable at all. Breaking something is one thing but only fixing it for english users isn't very nice. Either you support Firefox for all languages or you don't do it at all!
