I am facing this issue after upgrading to v19.7.0.9 of Norton Internet Security 2012. For some reason, when I go to Identity Safe -> Edit Logins, either from settings or directly from one of the supported browsers, I see that some logins display partial passwords, when I click on Show.
I emphasize, that only some logins are effected & not all. But what is even more baffling is that the said logins work correctly on the respective websites - so, Identity Safe toolbar must be entering the correct password!
When I first saw this issue, I thought Identity Safe has erroneously edited those passwords without my knowledge, an improbable event unless its some bug?
I would suggest that if anyone else is facing this issue, please post on this thread.
NOTE: I have a large number of logins with some very long & complex passwords - the most important accounts have passwords upto 16 characters long. If you're one such user of Identity Safe [i.e. large number of logins & with long passwords], I shall be grateful if you can check them through Edit Logins & post here if you're facing this issue.
The issue also seems to be prevalent on new signups, especially. Like, I recently purchased an Android device from Sony & I signed up with XDA Devs Forum, Android Central & Sony itself. Barring Android Central, the rest were showing partial passwords, even though the actual website logins were working correctly.
Thank you!
