Identity Safe Does Not Save Any Logins

I followed the setup steps and logged in to IS. When I log in to a website, I expected that IS would ask if I wanted to save my login, but nothing happens. I feel like I am missing a major step. The toolbars appear, but nothing is added to the login file.

I am using 64-bit Windows 7.

Hi,

Can you please let us know what is the browser and version you are using along with the Version of NIS you are using.(Main UI->Support->About)

Also, this happens for all the URL's you browse or specific to any URL?

Regards,

Prasanna

Hi,

Using IE 9 and NIS Version 19.5.0.145 (2011?).

Doesn't work on any URL.

Hi RE53,

Have you configured Identity Safe yet?

Go to Settings, then click on Web, and select Identity Safe. Is Identity Safe turned On? What options do you see under that section?

IS and "Prompt me to log in" are turned on.

Hello RE53,

What other options do you see in that section?

Have you configured Identity Safe yet, setup a password, and all that?

Hi Tim,

I believe that I have everything configured correctly, but can't guarantee it. I can log in and out of IS, but whenever I enter website entry info, IS does nothing. These are sites where Password Manager had worked as expected.

I expect that this is something that I did or did not do, but I have no idea what that is.

In > Identity Safe Settings > Browsing Options:

Is "Offer to save my credentials when I log in to websites" = ON

Is "Autofill my logins when I visit websites" = ON

Yes, both options are checked.

Obvious question: Are you logged into identity safe?

Can you try with the Gmail website: www.gmail.com

Perhaps the links you were using are not compatible with identiy safe.  I know Gmail works so we can use that as a "test bed."

Also, make sure Norton is not ignoring the page.  Log on to the Norton Identiy safe, browse to the site, and make sure that it is not saying "Stop ignoring this page" or click on "Turn on Notifications" if that option is displayed.
