Identity Safe - From Safe Mode

Need serious help!!!

Laptop screen has DIED and I can only boot into Safe Mode on an external monitor.

It seems that NIS doesn't run in safe mode. Does Identity Safe???

I need  to - at the least - show my logins and passwords so that I can copy then down.

Any help will be appreciated enormously.

Thx for reply.

My hardware problems are apparently too severe for that.

External monitor goes blank with normal startup

Aren't you able to bring up the external monitor using your Function Key to switch between displays?

Onboard monitor is DEAD.

Only way to login is on external.

External won't give picture except in safe mode

This happens because the laptop monitor had a screen resolution that the external monitor do not support...

Try this:

1. Boot up in safe mode

2. Open the Device Manager

3. In the device list find your VGA, and remove it.

4. On the device list find the monitor, and delete it

5. Reboot in normal mode

Let us know the results.

Thanks PapauZ. I will try that first thing in the morning

Just to clarify

VGA refers to laptop?

Monitor refers to external?

VGA is the built in video card in your laptop, under the Monitor (if I remember well, on the ENG windows it's called Display on the list) you have to see the laptop's built in and your external monitor as well.
