I am using Norton Security Suite (NSS) 4.0.3.5 which I downloaded thru Comcast. i have XP SP3 and am using IE8.
I have been using ID safe for quite some time now (great product BTW) and have several categories of managed IDs. All IDs are are set to auto fill. Norton and Symantic NCO BHO are both enabled on the toolbar. I have read a number of the posts on this subject and have not found anything helpful.
This afternoon, when I went to login to yahoo, after I signed into ID safe, nothing auto filled. I clicked on the Cards and Logins tab on the toolbar and the dropdown had only one, of what previously was 6 categories, was available and in that category only one of 29 logins in that category was listed. When I checked manage logins, all were there (Praise God.) But the only way I can use the data is to edit one and cut and paste the user id and password from it. The one login that was on the dropdown, did not work.
I have backed up the ID data, but am a bit leary of trying to restore the ID safe data since everytime i go into settings, if I try to do more than one thing, like back up ID safe, then NSS locks up and I have to go into task manager to shut it down and restart the PC before it will work again.
Assuming we can get this working again, is there anyway to have two sets of logins on ID safe, like for me and my wife on the same PC? We do not use different Windows IDs.
Please help.
