Identity safe told me that my Norton Account was "temporarily locked due to too many failed log-in attempts.
1) I had not attempted to log in since my last reboot yesterday
2) I followed the "Forgot Password" link and updated my password
Ater the password update I was able to log on to my Norton Account on the web site, but Identity Safe continues to tell me that my Norton Account is locked.
Lockouts occur, as noted, if there are multiple consecutive incorrect login attempts. This is to protect you from someone just trying to guess your account
The length of time the account is locked depends on the web site. After the lock out time expires, you will again have access to the account.
Why it got locked? Do you have any other users on your computer? Maybe someone was experimenting.
