Identity Safe - Not prompting to save logon after deletion

HI

I deleted a site from the "Manage Log-ins" page but now want to add it back. But when I go to the relevant log in page for my email the user and pass boxes no longer go green and i dont get asked to save the login anymore.

How can I get Norton to save these details again please?

Thanks

Lee

Please check the Autofill Exclusions from N360 Settings - Identity Protection. Also check “Manage Log-ings” and see if the web site is still there. If nothing changes, try the option “Use Defaults” in the upper right corner.

Autofill Exclusions was exactly the answer ... didnt find that in any tutorial

Thanks

Hi Leewxm

you can find the tutorial in the norton help centre -> in the search tab of the help centre type “autofill exclusion”
,you can see the entire help of autofill exclusion

Ok cool

As it is linked to IdentiySafe I was expecting to see it in that tutorial I guess

Sorted now anyway :)

Hi,

I am having the same problem but with NIS.  I deleted the log-in for a page because of a change in password that was not being recognized.  Now it does not ask me to save a new log-in, and I can't find a way to manually add it.  In NIS, the autofill option is listed under each individual log-in.  How can I make Norton Internet Security "learn" a new log-in for the page with the deleted log-in?

Thank you!

Patty

Hi Patty,

As mentioned earlier in this thread, you should first check the Autofill Exclusions list. I think it may be a bit too easy to inadvertently add sites to the Autofill Exclusions list. From the Norton menu in the browser toolbar, click Identity Safe Settings. In the Settings window, click Autofill Exclusions. If that site is listed there, remove it.

Your question about whether it’s possible to manually create a login is a timely one, because that is a new feature in NIS 2010. Presumably you have an earlier version of NIS installed. You can upgrade to 2010 for free and your remaining subscription days will carry over, so I strongly recommend upgrading. Visit http://updatecenter.norton.com/ to upgrade. Once you’ve got NIS 2010 installed, open the Manage Logins dialog and you’ll see a “New Log-in” button that will allow you to create a login. I realize this is the N360 board; unfortunately N360 users will have to wait a short while until N360 catches up with the 2010 codebase. Manual login creation should be available in the next N360 release (v4).

Jlatino (hablas español?),

I do not have the page I want to create another log-in for in the exemptions.  In fact, it does not appear anywhere on my norton, not in the "manage log-in" window or the exeptions window.  The same has happened for other pages I deleted.  It no longer asks me to save a log-in, and it does not attempt to fill in the fields.  There is only one page on the exemptions list, and it needs to be there (bank form, 3 fields, and Norton does not handle it correctly).  I believe the program "thinks" it already has that page in the exemptions, but is not listing it there...

I will upgrade and will let you know if I am able to create a new log-in!  Thanks!
