When I open my Hotmail email accounts with Identity Safe, I get a Norton message to update my login name and secret account. When do so, Identity Safe changes my secret login account to a useless one. With the updated account, I cannot open my Hotmail email account anymore. Togheter with the Norton Identity Safe update request, a Windows warning appears that Microsoft HTM... want to open on my computer.
I run CCleaner, and the "remember me" option is unchecked. I also restored IE9 to standard. After I re-installed a former HDD image. The problem insists. If I check "help" in the Safe Identity popup, the one who requests to change and register a new password, the message appears if I allow the execution of "executable files Microsoft HTM.., editor Microsoft Windows.
I cannot get more info abt this message or where to find it when it appears.
I put the sytem back to a HDD of 3 weeks old without further NIS updates.. Started IE9, Identity Safe and opened my Hotmail account. Same problem. Identity Safe popup requests if I want to register the new password I had send, but what I never did.Run system scans=OK. Run Power Eraser=OK . So,is there a bug between Hotmail and NIS Identity Safe?
No, there are no issues on manual login. I have put the laptop back to "out of the carton" state, with only a NIS trial version. Problem resists. By the way, I did the same with my other laptop, with same problem resisting.
