I don't know if this is due to a new upgrade (I suspect that it is) but Norton will not take no for an answer when I repeatedly deny it's attempts to create an IE add-on called Norton Identity Safe, CoIEPlg.dll. I have a program that alerts me when a new IE add-on is attempted to be created, and although I have administrative rights on my PC, and I have been into the Norton program and have turned off all Identity Safe protection trying to prevent this, the dll is unable to be disabled. I wouldn't have minded the Identity Safe protection, just not the IE add-on, which are not stable and ironically, prone to viruses. I finally went in and disabled the Norton Identity Safe extension in my browser and changed the Norton search engine back to my default after Norton force changed it to its own search engine.
How do you expect people to trust you when you behave like the folks from which you are supposed to be protecting us? I have received phishing emails pretending to be all manner of legitimate companies including Norton and McAfee, and yet you think that this forceful behavior is warranted? I had a browser extension just last month that was called security-something-or-other that forced me to view ads on every website I opened. How am I to know that you are acting in my best interests? At least when my ISP makes changes, they send an email to warn me. The last email I received from them about Norton was in 2010. Shame on you.
