Idle Time and New Programs

Hello Everyone! I searched the forum for answers as well as a Google, no luck! :smileyhappy:

Re: Norton Anti-Virus 2010

Question 1

Whenever I walk away from the computer, the Idle Time feature begins, I come back, and my computer is frozen. I tried various settings, no luck. Can I simply disable the Idle Time function? Right now all I found is a the maximum of 30 minutes. Is there somewhere else a 'Forever'? or another solution? I don't need this function. All I want is a program to scan for viruses, preferably after I am finished working, or when I tell it to do so.

Question 2

Whenever I compile a program, Norton tells me my program acts suspicious, and recommends immediate removal, because it’s less than a week old. I program, well, programs and testing comprises a lot of time in the development. When I test those, [Compile and Run] is there a simple way to explain Norton, a given program is actually OK, or better yet, a switch somewhere telling Norton to shut-it?

Any suggestions are most appreciated. :smileywink:
