I hope it's OK for me to post this here but a couple of members in another forum said I could? I purchased a thing called iDrive, which included 1TB cloud storage and a 1TB portable hard drive that can be used as a NAS drive, because it seemed like a good deal at the time. So I mapped the portable drive to A and ticked reconnect at logon - but Windows 8.1 did NOT reconnect it! So I could no longer access the folders and files that iDrive had created, which mapping had apparently moved to the NAS drive, in order to replace them in their original location.That is when my problems really started.
I uninstalled iDrive, believing that when I re-installed it, those files and folders would be put back where they were originally. But iDrive does not remove everything whether I uninstall it from Programs and Features or by using its uninstall facility. And every time I re-install it, it fails to create files which were created when I first installed it! So I disabled NIS 2014 and ran a System Restore. I then installed iDrive again - but it STILL didn't put the files back where they should be!
I sent support requests to iDrive asking for help but all they do is send me instructions that are already on their website, which I have already tried and failed to be able to follow. I am now at the end of my tether with iDrive and am hoping that someone might be able to help me sort it out properly?
