IE7Pro and Bug Reporting

I've been trying to stay away from recommending software of any kind.  There's enough of that going on for me not to confuse the issue.  But I am going to make a recommendation because it adds so much that can be helpful on these boards.

IE7Pro is an Internet Explorer 7 add-on that gives the user a whole lot of power - in my eyes, it makes IE7 more useful than Firefox.

IE7Pro was brought to my attention on the Microsoft site, in one of its forums.  It has been recommended by Microsoft gurus, ZDnet, and Cnet, and I don't even remember what else.

Visit their site for a list of features.  I will mention only a few that are useful.

1.  If you right-click on a picture online, you have the option to copy the link to the clipboard.  That makes it real easy to post screenshots to postings here.

2.  If you download a file using their mini-download manager, it saves information on the download that you can look at later.  Specifically, it saves checksums, which is one way of comparing two files without have both of them on your computer.

It is a fact that Norton was having trouble with corrupted downloads from some servers.  What no one seems to know is how extensive this has been.  It would account for bad installations, installations that won't start, and add-ons that don't work.

3.  It also has ad-blocking software, although I don't recommend ad-blocking.

The main thing is that it provides information a lot easier than IE7.  And it supposedly makes IE7 a lot faster.
