If I'm using Norton 360 with Windows 7 64 bit, do I need Windows' User Access Control?

I had UAC disabled in older versions of windows because I had read that Norton and UAC didn't get along well.  Now suddenly I'm gettig notifications from windows UAC and it's annoying.  Will Norton 360 keep me safe without UAC?

UAC is awful and mostly ineffective.  I've always disabled it.  (It is more to keep users from harming themselves than a malware countermeasure.)

Where do I go to disable it in Windows 7?

Start > Control Panel > User Accounts > Change User Account control settings.  (You must be logged in as an Administrator to make the changes to User Accounts.)

Hi,

It aims to improve the security of Microsoft Windows by limiting application software to standard user privileges until an administrator authorizes an increase or elevation. Which means it's main purpose is to allowing the standard users to install softwares in a Computer with the Administrator privileges. A user account may have administrator privileges assigned to it, but applications that the user runs do not inherit those privileges unless they are approved beforehand.

And you can disable it by following the instructions given above.
