Basically, my subject explains my question! I was just wondering if there is anyway or this could be an added option under the recommendations. I have a bunch of programs that have keygens with them, and I know they are false positives, and I would like to be able to ignore them so they will not scan anymore and put them in quarantine if that is possible. This could be a 64 bit thing though, but I appreciate any help on this subject!
I remember in my older versions a couple of years ago of norton, you could just select the option of ignoring it and then being done with it!
Thanks
In the main Norton main screen, go to the Computer panel>settings>scan exclusions>configure and add the files you want to be ignored.

What Norton Product and Version are you using, e.g. Norton Internet Security 2009 (N.I.S. 2009)?
NIS 2009 v16.2.0.7
Vista Home Premium 64bit SP1
Thanks for the tips on doing it that way. The things that I do have on here are safe that it is picking up, but I just didn't know if there was anyway to add the ignore option in kinda like yall helped me out adding in the scan files and folders deal by right clicking a file and scanning it through the send to menu!
I'll look into it and see about adding them maybe to an exclusion list or something later on, for the time being, if I were to need it, I'd just turn auto-protect off, restore it, use it, and then turn auto-protect back on let it move it back to quarantine.
Thanks again :)

Hi Snowcrash,
It is a known case with keygens that most of the Antivirus detect those files as threat due to it's heuritic characteristics. If you know are 100% confident that the file Quarantined by Norton program is genuine, then add an exclusion for that file, so that Norton will no longer scan and detect that file as threat. You could place those files in the exclusions list(Autoprotect & Scan) so that Norton no longer detects this file. First disable the AutoProtect(real time scanner) temporarily for 15 mins so that it won't detect that file till you add it to exclusions list. After that, restore those files from Quarantine. Then follow the steps given below to exclude:
Following are the instructions for Norton 2009 product.
1. Start Norton 2009.
2. In the Computer pane, click Settings.
3. Under Exclusion/Low Risks, click Configure next to Scan Exclusions.
4. Under Scan Exclusions, click Add.
5. Browse and select the file you would like to exclude and click OK. If you want to include subfolders within the folder, check Include Subfolders.
6. Under Auto-Protect Exclusions, click Add.
7. Browse and select the file you would like to exclude and click OK. If you want to include subfolders within the folder, check Include Subfolders. (Repeat the same for all the3 files)
8. Click Apply > OK.

that'll work for me, thanks to you and delphinium also, that is easy enough to do. I keep all the stuff in one folder most of the time anyways, so that should work for now!
