First of all, most forums have something like "post" or "new thread" or something like that. After a few minutes of looking for something similar, I finally realized that the "post" button reads "new message". Now from my experience, when one sees the words "new message" in a forum, one may tend to think that they have a new message in their inbox. And when someone registers on a forum for the first time, they usually get a new welcome message. So that explains why I didn't click on the new message button because I never read welcome messages. Im not asking you to change the text on your post button to something more familiar to regular forum users, but I am annoyed by it.
Now on to the topic.
I was using Norton because it came with my computer. When my trial was up, I didn't care to pay money out of my pocket to keep using it. I was fine without it for a few months until it did something that really pissed me off. Out of nowhere it installed a Norton security scan shortcut on my desktop. Anyone familiar with spyware and all that crap knows that when something installs itself anywhere on your computer, it is usually spyware.
So by that single action alone, I uninstalled everything that had to do with Norton on my computer. or at least I thought I did. Now every day when I get on my computer, I see that God forsaken Norton shortcut right back on my desktop. I go into c-panel/programs, and uninstall it every single day and it just comes right back again.
Why should I pay a dime for something that has to force itself upon me like that? As far as im concerned, THAT IS MALWARE.
That is a VERY SHADY thing for norton to do and you have lost all respect from me because of it. All I want to do is get norton off my computer FOR GOOD! Can someone please show me how to do that?
