iMac2020 Intel Sonoma 14.2.1 manual full scan never ending (again...)

iMac2020 Intel Sonoma 14.2.1 manual full scan never ending (again...)

Sonoma 14.2.1 on Intel
Intel: After upgrading my intel iMac2020 to Sonoma 14.2.1 running a full scan with Norton 360 never ends. It worked just fine on Sonoma 14.2.
M1: It still works on Macbooks using M1 chips and running Sonoma 14.2.1.

Not the first time...
It isn't the first time this problem occurs (although the link was obviously on a previous MacOS/OSX). It’s very much like this: https://community.norton.com/en/forums/scanning-over-2000000-files

Beta-testing?
Having worked with global IT-solution it continues to amaze me that previous problems clearly isn't tested before release. And I don't really care if this is an Apple or Norton problem. It should have been caught by Norton when testing the beta of 14.2.1.

Please fix asap - thanks in advance.

Already did several times and it doesn't change anything - sadly.

I have never had it happen to me on a non-Intel machine, but I can see it happens to other people on M-machines.

hmmmm...

You have all the right FDA enabled, guess then maybe its just stuck after the update

Best thing to do then is remove w RMAC and re-install:

Com.symantec  (also pointing to com.symantec.SymLUHelper - they have a different icon though)
Norton
Norton 360
Norton System Extension

Thanks - Xpanded

Can you confirm which Norton components are present and or toggled in Full System Access?

How do I get full disk access on Sonoma Mac?
On macOS 13 Ventura and 14 Sonoma

  1. Click the Apple menu  in the upper-left corner of your screen and choose System Settings.
  2. Click Privacy & Security in the sidebar on the left.
  3. In the pane on the right, scroll down and select Full Disk Access.
