Image old XP to Microsoft Virtual PC running under Vista

I recently purchased a new laptop that runs Vista. My old laptop runs an app that I cannot reinstall into Vista. I was hoping to run the old XP in a virtual machine under Vista.

I need to know if I can use Ghost to:

  1. Create image (assume this is the correct term) of the old XP
  2. Create virtual machine on Vista (done this already)
  3. Restore image of old XP into virtual machine

Is the Ghost the correct tool for the job?

If it is, then:

  1. What are the correct steps for this process?
  2. Are there any tricks and traps?

If not, then open to suggestions on how to move XP to Vista virtual machine.

Thanks in advance

Brad
