Impact of Ghost on PC Performance

Would installing Ghost, even though it remains closed down until I decide to do a backup, impact in any negative way on my computer's performance?   Just wondering before I install it.

Hi Gravale,

 

Only 2 services of Norton Ghost always run in background. Norton Ghost service (vprosvc.exe) and Ghost Tray service (GhopstTray.exe). When the backups are not running, these processes do not use much system resources. Norton Ghost service tracks the changes made to your hard drive and checks the backup schedule if any to trigger backups. Ghost tray service takes care of notification messages from Norton Ghost.
