Impossible to do a custom folder scan

I can't do a scan of a folder with Norton Internet Security 2013.  I either have to chose the entire drive (much too big) or one file at a time (much too small). The only folders that could be scanned are the libraries, home group, and user name. Although "Computer" is listed, there's no small box with a "+", making it impossible to open any folders on the drives. Not sure if this is a bug or intentional, but it's very annoying. I have Windows 7 Professional 64-bit SP1 running NIS v20.2.1.22.  The same as yours, except I'm not sure if it's Professional or some other version. However, I didn't do the "Create Scan." I just clicked the yellow "Run" box for "Folder Scan."

I'm on Win 7 Home Premium - but it should not make any difference.

Nor should i tmake any difference how you get to it - I tried your way and I still get to select which folder on C I desire.

Just curous if admin rights has anything to do with this.  Are you on a Windows user account that has administrator priveledges?

I can see that not having the + for the C drive is why it will not expand - but I do not know why there is no +.

Hopefully someone with more knowledge in this area than I will come by.

I have full administrator priveledges.  Also, tried the "Create Scan, then "Add Folders," but it's the same as the yellow "Run" button  and doesn't help anything.  It's not just the C: drive, but ANY drive attached to the computer (both internal and external, including USB jump drives).

All other programs such as the Windows Explorer can access any folder.
