Currently when N360 detects a security threat during a boot or idle scan a glaring red notification that security issues have been found pops up to alert the user. This is true if it finds critically detrimental malware or just tracking cookies.
Whenever I see the red security alert I go to details and find out what has infected my system. When idle scans run several times a day this can mean seeing the cookie notification several times. I still have to go check it since it could be a serious problem. I do want to know when tracking cookies are being cleaned, but it would be nice to know if it's just cookies or some other potentially more severe situation.
Having a severe alert notice for a moderate, auto-cleaned solution devalues the importance of the notice. When a user sees the red alert that should send them into action mode. The current implementation sets up a scenario where the red alert is usually not that bad and potentially nothing to be concerned about.
Suggestion: Provide an orange/yellow alert when only tracking cookies are cleaned. This would let the user know what actions Norton is taking without sending out the emergency signal.
