Last week I purchased 2 copies (I have 4 computers to protect) of NIS 2013 from Staples in Vancouver BC. At the checkout, the clerk did what clerks do when you buy two of the same thing - she ran one copy over the scanner twice. And therefore - since the package I tried installing last night was the one that didn't get scanned - I can't activate it.
I took it back to the store today and they scanned it back in and out again, assuring me that that would solve the problem. Well, it didn't - when I try to activate now, I get a "Revoked Product Key" message.
I see this issue was raised here a year ago (http://community.norton.com/t5/Norton-Internet-Security-Norton/Store-product-validation-error/td-p/535254). This seems to me to be a really inefficient and ineffective way of protecting against software theft! Any suggestions from Symantec?
