Inactive Links in NIS UI

I'm running NIS 20.3.1.22 and have noticed that sometimes when I click on various links in the UI, nothing happens. At the moment, the following links aren't working in the UI:

History

Quarantine

Quick Scan

Full System Scan

Again, this happens sometimes, and a system restart will probably fix it. But has anyone else experienced this issue?

Thanks.

Hi,

Haven't had that problem yet. A couple of suggestions, try running CHKDSK /R from the command prompt to confirm that your HDD isn't trying to quit on you. then there's the Norton Remove and Replace Tool

www.Norton.com/nrnr

which will replace your copy with a fresh one from the Norton server. Backup your identity safe data before doing it, just in case.

Keep us posted

Hi,

I ran CHKDSK /R and it didn't find anything. I also ran the Norton Remove and Replace Tool, so I have a fresh copy of NIS installed now.

Will keep you posted.

Thanks.

This problem has reared it's ugly head again, and it's precisely the UI links that I listed in my first post. All of my other software applications are working fine. I have no idea what's going on, but assume that my computer is still protected since the NIS status is green.

Another user posted this problem... Could it be somehow related to this?

The only way I'm able to run a scan is through Norton Tasks in the Performance menu:

As you are having a UI issue, check that your display drivers are fully up to date. Check with your graphics card manufacturer, or if you are using a laptop, check with your laptop manufacturer as their drivers are optomized for their hardware.

Fixed :). Thank you peterweb.

You are welcome.

Lately there have been a number of issues that have been resolved by updating display drivers.

We are here if you need us again.
