Incoming Spam using my email address

Norton Product: NIS 2010

 

Problem: I receive a ton of spam that use my email address in the from field. Before upgrading from NIS 2009 to NIS 2010 about 10 days ago, most of these messages were correctly categorized as spam and automatically sent to the spam folder. Now most of these messages come through to my inbox.

 

I was marking them as spam but it didn't seem to matter. I also changed my setting to ask me before marking as spam. The problem is, Norton is asking if I want to block my own address.

 

To clarify one point... Sometimes the from field shows my address and sometimes it doesn't, but many times, even if my email isn't displayed in the from field, Norton asks if I want to block the address and it happens to be my address. Not always my address, but very often it is.

 

Never had this issue until the upgrade.

 

Any thoughts?
