Inconsistent Email Scan

I have NIS2009 16.5.0.135 installed on my main desktop and a laptop. These 2 systems have Microsoft Outlook that access the same Email Accounts.

 

I use Outlook on the desktop everyday for my work and Outlook on the laptop every 3-4 days as a mail backup mechanism (emails left on the server for 10 days after Outlook on the desktop have downloaded them).

 

While Norton on the desktop has picked up some Trojans from the incoming emails, the number of Trojans that Norton on the laptop picked up is more than that. That worries me as Norton on the desktop may let some through.

 

Could you please advise me why this happens?
