I use the current up-to-date version of NIS (2013) and have been using the app for several years without any problems. But recently, my firewall was off every time I started up the computer. I reinstalled the program and that problem was solved, but now I have a new issue. Even when my definitions are out of date (more than a week old because I had set it to manual updating), it still displays the status as "Secure" with the green tick in the system tray instead of the "Attention" status and the yellow exclamation mark in the system tray. It doesn't change to a red cross and "At Risk" later either. Also, the quick scan is "Not completed" which normally would also warrant the "Attention" status and yet it incorrectly shows the green tick with "Secure" status. So today I uninstalled the program again (this time even with the Removal Tool) and yet the problem persists. If there are any little fixing tools available for these apparent bugs or anything I can do manually, please let me know.
